Digital Communication Policy
Text messages and email from Universal Appliance Repair are tied to service work. This page sets out what triggers them, who reads them, and how to stop them.
When we message you
Your number and address are held in order to run a booked repair, and the traffic reflects that. Booking confirmations. A note when the technician is on the road, or when the hour has shifted. Quotes for approval. The invoice. Later, a reminder of what remains covered on the work.
Consent
A mobile number given at booking authorizes contact about that repair. Advertising is a separate matter entirely, and nothing here should be read as consent to it. The number is never sold, never rented, never lent out, and arranging a repair enrolls you in nothing.
Any promotional list we might run in future would be opt-in only, and leaving it would never affect service already scheduled.
Frequency and cost
Expect roughly two to four messages per repair. Carrier charges for receiving them, where they apply, are set by your carrier; we add nothing on top.
Turning them off
Text STOP to end messages, HELP for support, or call (818) 000-0000. Email carries an unsubscribe link on every send, and the office can take you off if you would rather ask.
Opting out does not cancel a booked visit. Where a job is live we call instead, since access and timing still have to be settled with somebody.
Who reads them
Office staff scheduling the work, and the technician who attends. Vendors behind our messaging and scheduling tools handle the data on our instructions alone, under contracts that rule out any use of their own.
Retention
Job correspondence is stored with the service record for the life of the warranty, then for whatever period our accounting and tax obligations require. Details sit in the Privacy Policy.
Questions
Call (818) 000-0000, or write to info@universalappliancerepairs.com marked for the attention of the office manager.
If anything here needs explaining
Call the office and ask. We would rather set it out in plain language than have you parse the wording on your own.
Book your appointment
Pick a day, and dispatch will fix the hour with you. A minute to submit, then a confirmation by phone or text.
